2007 Lincoln MKZ
After having just released the Zephyr, Ford makes another move with it’s 2007 Lincoln MKZ. The name is Mark Z, named Mark after the series of luxury coupes Lincoln produced between 1960 and 1990, and Z after the Zephyr. This new luxurious and cool car and the Zephyr look virtually identical, still there are some significant differences between the Zephyr and MKZ.
The new 2007 Lincoln MKZ is more powerful and more efficient and it’s 3.5-liter V-6 engine with 250 horsepower paired with a smooth-shifting 6-speed transmission makes it a faster car than the predescessor.
The new Lincoln MKZ from Ford has performance oriented driving character and is more engaging, plus it features added confidence of available intelligent all-wheel drive. This optional intelligent all-wheel-drive system can split power not only from front to rear but also side to side.
Other features of the Lincoln MKZ are four-wheel disc brakes with a four-sensor, three-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brake force distribution (EBD). By measuring brake force and directing braking to the wheels that have the best grip, EBD helps achieve shorter stopping distances even before ABS activates. Traction assist also is standard.
Also what’s cool about this car is the available THX® II Certified audio system and SIRIUS satellite radio.
The MKZ has new 17-inch, 8-spoke, machined aluminum wheels. Also available in a new chromed-aluminum finish, the 17-inch alloy wheels are an important design element.
